Question 1 Find the values of the following expressions: (a) (– 5) × (18 + (– 3))Now, (−5) ×(18+(−3))=(−5) × (18−3) =(−5) × 15 =−5 × 15 =−𝟕𝟓 Question 1 Find the values of the following expressions: (b) (– 7) × 4 × (– 1)Now, (−7) × 4 × −1=7 × 4 × 1 =28 × 1 =𝟐𝟖 Question 1 Find the values of the following expressions: (c) (– 2) × (– 1) × (– 5) × (– 3)Now, (−2) × (−1) × (−5) × (−3) Since there is even number of negative signs, answer is positive =𝟐 × 𝟏 × 𝟓 × 𝟑 =(2 × 1) × (5 × 3) =2 × 15 =𝟑𝟎
