Constructing Rectangle with one Side & Diagonal givenConstruct a rectangle where one of its sides is 5 cm and the length of a diagonal is 7 cm. Let’s make a figure For rectangle ABCD Rectangle ABCD where AB = 5 cm AC = 7 cm Let’s draw it Steps of construction 1. Draw side AB of length 5 cm 2. Now, we draw 90° from point A 3. Now, we draw 90° from point B Now, we we open our compass to 7 cm in length And keeping pointy end A, we draw an arc to the line perpendicular from point B Where it intersects is point C Join AC 7. We draw 90° from point C. 8. Where that line intersects perpendicular from A is point D Thus, ABCD is our required rectangle 7. We draw 90° from point C. 8. Where that line intersects perpendicular from A is point D
