Question 3 (b) Solve the following problems: (b) Jeevika takes 10/3 minutes to take a complete round of the park and her friend Namit takes 13/4 minutes to do the same. Who takes less time and by how much?We need to find who takes less time So, we need to compare 10/3 & 13/4 To compare, we need to make denominator same Common denominator = LCM of 3 & 4 = 2 × 2 × 3 = 12 So, our fractions become Thus, 40/12 > 39/12 𝟏𝟎/𝟑 > 𝟏𝟑/𝟒 𝟏𝟎/𝟑=10/3 ×4/4 =𝟒𝟎/𝟏𝟐 𝟏𝟑/𝟒=13/4 ×3/3 =𝟑𝟗/𝟏𝟐
