Question 2 (b) Subtract as indicated: b. 18/5 from 23/3 Basically we have to do 𝟐𝟑/𝟑−𝟏𝟖/𝟓 We make denominator same by multiplying both denominators 3 × 5 = 15 So, our fractions become 𝟐𝟑/𝟑=23/3 ×5/5 =𝟏𝟏𝟓/𝟏𝟓 𝟏𝟖/𝟓=18/5 ×3/3 =𝟓𝟒/𝟏𝟓 Now, our subtraction becomes 23/3−18/5 = 115/15−54/15 = (115 − 54)/15 = 𝟔𝟏/𝟏𝟓
