Question 6 Write one 5-digit number and two 3-digit numbers such that their sum is 18,670. The task is to find one 5-digit number and two 3-digit numbers that sum to 18,670. Method (Working Backwards): Start with a 5-digit number just below the total, like 18,000. The remaining amount is 18,670 - 18,000 = 670. Split 670 into two 3-digit numbers, for example, 300 and 370. Answer: 18,000 + 300 + 370 = 18,670
