Removing brackets to find value of expression Let’s do it from an example 200 – (40 + 3) With brackets, there is only one rule Solve the bracket first! Solving 200 – (40 + 3) = 200 – (43) = 200 – 43 = 157 One more thing To open the bracket, we do like 200 – (40 + 3) = 200 – 40 – 3
