  • Multiple cropping - To grow more than one crop on a piece of land during the year is known as multiple cropping.
  • Fertilizers and HYV seeds -  HYV seeds needed plenty of water and also c hemical fertilizers and pesticides to produce the best results.
  • Irrigation - The farmers set up tubewells for irrigation.
  • Farm machinery - Used to r educe labour on the farm and can work more effectively

  • Green Revolution is associated with the loss of soil fertility due to the increased use of chemical fertilizers.
  •  Continuous use of groundwater for tubewell irrigation has led to the depletion of the water table.
  • Chemical fertilizers kill the micro-organisms in the soil.
