Find the mean percentage of female teachers by all the three methods discussed in this section. Mean(๐‘ฅ ฬ…) = a + h ร— (โˆ‘โ–’๐’‡๐’Š๐’–๐’Š)/(โˆ‘โ–’๐’‡๐’Š) Where a = assumed mean h = Class interval Also, โˆ‘โ–’๐’‡๐’Š = 35 โˆ‘โ–’๐’‡๐’Š๐’–๐’Š = โˆ’36 Putting values in formula Mean(๐’™ ฬ…) = a + h ร— (โˆ‘โ–’๐’‡๐’Š๐’–๐’Š)/(โˆ‘โ–’๐’‡๐’Š) ๐‘ฅ ฬ… = 50 + 10 ร— (โˆ’36)/35 ๐‘ฅ ฬ… = 50 โ€“ 10.29 ๐’™ ฬ… = 39.71 Therefore, mean percentage of female teachers is 39.71
