In places of hot climate it is advised that the outer walls of houses be painted white. Explain.
Answer:
- Light colours such as white reflect back most of the heat that falls on them while dark colours absorb heat .
- Light colours are hence called “cool” colours as they would keep the houses cool during summers/ in places with hot climate.
