What would happen to the life of a cell if there was no Golgi apparatus?

Answer:

The golgi body’s main function is to store, package and transport material around the cell.

  • It is equivalent to the courier service of the cell.

If the cell had no Golgi apparatus, there would be no transport of important proteins and enzymes around the cell

  • The proteins it packages are also transported to the plasma membrane to maintain it.
  • This in turn would lead to deformation of the plasma membrane , no cell formation etc. due to lack of enzymes and proteins
  • Even though these enzymes and proteins would be produced, without the golgi body they would not be transported to the site where they are required.
