Make sketches of the two stages in the life history of the silk moth which are directly related to the production of silk.

Answer:

Two stages in the life cycle of a moth directly related to silk production are:

  1. Formation of the cocoon by the Pupa - the cocoon is made of silk and is used as the primary source of silk fibres which are processed and made into yarns and clothes.
  2. Laying of eggs by Adult Female moth - The eggs hatch to form larvae and silkworms which grow into the pupa . The pupa is the final source of silk. The process would be impossible without new eggs hatching with every cycle.
