Soluble substances

  • Substances which easily mix in water and therefore disappear when added to water are known as Soluble substances
  • Example :- Salt, Sugar.

 

Insoluble substances

  • Substances which do not easily mix with water even when we stir  them are known as Insoluble substances.
  • These substances do not disappear when added to water.
  • Example :- Sand and Oil
