Let the number be x Given that, If we subtract 1/2 from the number, and multiply the result by 1/2 we get 1/8 Therefore, 1/2 (๐‘ฅ โˆ’ 1/2) = 1/8 1/2 (๐‘ฅ โˆ’ 1/2) = 1/8 ๐‘ฅ โˆ’ 1/2 = 1/8 ร— 2 ๐‘ฅ โˆ’ 1/2 = 1/4 x = 1/4 + 1/2 x = (1 + 2)/4 x = 3/4 โˆด Number is 3/4
