Suppose we have

  1 3 = 1 × 1 × 1

       = 1

 

  1 5 = 1 × 1 × 1 × 1 × 1

       = 1

 

  1 8 = 1 × 1 × 1 × 1 × 1 × 1 × 1 × 1

       = 1

 

So, any power of 1 gives 1

  ∴ (1) any power = 1
