Ex 5.2, 1 Find the square of the following numbers. (i) 32We know that 32 = 30 + 2 Now, 322 = 32 × 32 = (30 + 2) × (30 + 2) = (30 + 2)2 = 302 + 22 + 2 × 30 × 2 = 900 + 4 + 120 = 1024
