Let’s take some examples True proposition False converse Counterexample If a quadrilateral is a square, then it is a rectangle. If a quadrilateral is a rectangle, then it is a square. A rectangle of dimensions cm is not a square If a triangle is equilateral, then it is isosceles. If a triangle is isosceles, then it is equilateral. A triangle with sides 5, 5, 6 is not equilateral If a positive integer is divisible by 10, then it is divisible by 5 . If it is divisible by 5, then it is divisible by 10. 15 is divisible by 5 but not by 10 If a positive integer is divisible by 4, then it is even. If it is even, then it is divisible by 4 . 6 is even but not divisible by 4
