Dear Diary,

Today was a special day. While returning from school in the afternoon, I saw an elderly woman standing near a busy crossing. She looked worried because the road was crowded and she was carrying a bag.

I went up to her and asked whether she needed help. She smiled and said yes. I held her bag and walked beside her until we crossed safely. She thanked me and said that my help had made her feel much more confident.

At first, I was slightly nervous because of the traffic, but afterwards I felt happy and satisfied. The incident reminded me that a small act can make a big difference to someone who needs support. I would gladly help again whenever I can.
