1. In a play script, the speaker’s name and colon already signal dialogue, so inverted commas are not needed.
2. Colons are used after the speaker’s name.

The Recycled Orchestra of Cateura shows that music depends more on creativity than expensive instruments. The children use recycled material to create violins, cellos and other instruments. This connects with “Twin Melodies” because both texts show that art can grow from unexpected forms when people have passion and imagination.

Sample response: In many regions, bamboo flutes are used because bamboo is locally available and produces a clear, natural sound. Drums made with wood and animal hide are also common in folk traditions. Students should replace these examples with instruments from their own state or region.

Sample plan: Use a desk for bass beats, pencils for sharp clicks, a metal bottle for ringing sound, claps for rhythm and a notebook for soft taps. Assign one pattern to each group member and practise a 30-second rhythm cycle.

Rigmarole and Other Plays is useful for understanding comic dialogue, stage situations and dramatic timing. While reading, notice how characters speak differently and how humour emerges from exaggerated situations.
