Question 2 Give two examples of data that satisfy each of the following conditions: (i) 3 numbers whose mean is 8.Here, Sum of the 3 numbers = 8 × 3 = 24 Examples can be 7, 8, 9 1, 10, 13 Question 2 Give two examples of data that satisfy each of the following conditions: (ii) 4 numbers whose median is 15.5.The two middle numbers must average to 15.5 So, the two middle numbers can be 15 & 16 Thus, our 4 numbers can be 10, 15, 16, 20 Or 1, 15, 16, 100 Question 2 Give two examples of data that satisfy each of the following conditions: (iii) 5 numbers whose mean is 13.6.Here, Sum of the 5 numbers = 13.6 × 5 = 68 Thus, we need 5 numbers whose sum is 68 Examples can be 10, 11, 12, 15, 20 or 13, 13, 13, 13, 16 Question 2 Give two examples of data that satisfy each of the following conditions: (iv) 6 numbers whose mean = median.Symmetrical data works best.
