Question 10 Given 28p – 36 = 98, find the value of 14p – 19 and 28p – 38.We can solve this the "smart way" by looking for patterns instead of just finding 𝑝. Now, we are Given 28p And we have to find 14p and 28p So, we can find 28p, and then for 14p, we can do 14p = 𝟐𝟖𝒑/𝟐 Finding 28p Given 28p – 36 = 98 Putting –36 right side, it becomes +36 28p = 98 + 36 28p = 134 Solving our questions now Find 14p – 19 Finding 14p first Now, 14p = 𝟐𝟖𝒑/𝟐 Putting values 14p = 134/2 14p = 67 Now, 14p – 19 = 67 – 19 = 48 Thus, answer is 48 (b) Find 𝟐𝟖𝒑−𝟑𝟖 We know 28p = 134 Now, 28p – 38 = 134 – 38 = 96 Thus, answer is 96
