Question 2 Ranju is a daily wage labourer. She earns ₹ 750 a day. Her employer pays her in 50 and 100 rupee notes. If Ranju gets an equal number of 50 and 100 rupee notes, how many notes of each does she have?Let Number of 50 and 100 rupee notes be x Now, Amount she has in 50 rupee notes = ₹ 50 × Number of 50 notes = 50x And, Amount she has in 100 rupee notes = ₹ 1000 × Number of 100 notes = 100x Given that she earns ₹ 750 a day So, we can write Amount in ₹ 50 notes + Amount in ₹ 100 notes = 750 Putting values 50x + 100x = 750 150x = 750 Putting 150 on right side, it becomes division x = 𝟕𝟓𝟎/𝟏𝟓𝟎 x = 75/15 x = 5 Thus, she has 5 notes of each
