Question 1 The following are some equations along with the steps used to solve them to find the value of the letter−number. Go through each solution and decide whether the steps are correct. If there is a mistake, describe the mistake, correct it and solve the equation.Is there a mistake? Yes What went wrong? In the first step, the student moved +6 to the other side but forgot to change the sign. They kept it as +6. Correct solution Now, 4x + 6 = 10 Taking 6 on right side, it becomes subtraction 4x = 10 – 6 4x = 4 Taking 4 on right side, it becomes division x = 4/4 x = 1
