Question 2 Are the following tilings possible?Here, the region is A large grid with two opposite corners removed. And, the tile is a 2 × 1 domino Using the Checkerboard argument On a checkerboard, opposite corners are always the same color (e.g., both White). If you remove two White corners, you are removing 2 Whites. The board originally had 32 Black and 32 White. Now it has 𝟑𝟐 Black and 𝟑𝟎 White. Since the counts are not equal, you cannot tile it with dominoes (which require 1 of each). Let’s try it visually Thus, we can say that the tiling is not possible
