Question 1 - Figure it out (Page 148) Construct 4 pairs of parallel lines in different orientations.We will do this simultaneously. Steps of Construction 1. Draw line 'm' and mark point 'A' for all four cases. 2. Choose point B outside the line. Draw a Transversal l passing through A and B. 3. Place compass at A. Draw an arc cutting both lines (Points C & D). 4. Place compass at B. Draw the same arc size (Mark Point F). 5. Measure the width from C to D with your compass. 6. Transfer that width to the top arc! Mark Point E. 7. Draw the line through B and E. Mark it is line n Thus, in all 4 cases line m ∥ n
