Example 3 Find the common factors and the HCF of 96 and 275.Let’s find Prime Factorisation of both 96 & 275 Now, 96 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 275 = 5 × 5 × 11 Since there are no common prime factors , only 1 will be the common factor ∴ HCF = 1 Common Factors of 96 & 275 Since 96 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 275 = 5 × 5 × 11 Only 1 is the common factor, and that is also the highest common factor
