Example 1 Find the common factors, and the HCF of 45 and 75.Let’s find Prime Factorisation of both 45 & 75 Now, 45 = 3 × 3 × 5 75 = 3 × 5 × 5 HCF of 45, 75 = 3 × 5 = 15Now, we need to find Common Factors also Common Factors of 45 & 75 Since 45 = 3 × 3 × 5 75 = 3 × 5 × 5 The common factors are 3 5 And, 3 × 5 = 15 Thus, common factors are 3, 5 and 15
