Question 2 Suppose p is the greatest of five consecutive numbers. Describe the other four numbers in terms of p.Since the greatest of the five consecutive numbers is p The other numbers will be – 1 of the bigger number So, our five consecutive numbers, from greatest to smallest is p p – 1 (p – 1) – 1 = p – 2 (p – 2) – 1 = p – 3 (p – 3) – 1 = p – 4
