ParallelogramConsider two pairs of parallel lines The quadrilateral formed is a Parallelogram In a Parallelogram Opposite sides are parallel i.e. AB ∥ CD and AC ∥ BD But, doesn’t rectangle have opposite sides parallel? Rectangle has opposite sides parallel AND all angles 90° But, in parallelogram – angles can be other than 90° Relation between Parallelograms, Rectangles and Squares Basically A Parallelogram is a quadrilateral with opposite sides parallel A Rectangle is a parallelogram with all angles 90° A Sqaure is a rectangle with all sides equal We can signify this using a Venn Diagram also Let’s now learn how to Construct a Parallelogram
