Question 1 - Page 215 Construct a bigger house in which all the sides are of length 7 cm.We have to make this figure Now, let’s look at the steps of construction Steps of construction BCDE is a rectangle without BC side So, let’s make rectangle 1. Draw side DE of length 7 cm 2. Now, we draw 90° from point D and 90° from point E 3. We open compass to 7 cm and mark point B on perpendicular from D. And Mark point C on perpendicular from E Since AB = 7 cm and AC = 7 cm 5. From point B, keeping compass opened as 7 cm – we draw an arc. 6. From point C, keeping compass opened as 7 cm – we draw an arc. 7. Where both arcs intersect is point A 8. Join AB and AC 9. To make arc BC, now we open compass 7 cm (as AC = AB = 7 cm) – keep pointy end at A. And draw an arc 10. Now, we make small door similar to how we made our rectangle BCDE 11. We label our sides Thus, our required house is formed
