Construct Square with more HolesConstruct a square divided into four smaller squares (a 2 × 2 grid), with a centered circle in each. This combines the logic from "Shadings" (subdivision) and "Square with a Hole" (finding centers). Steps of Construction Construct a large square (e.g., 8x8 cm). Find the midpoint of all four sides (at 4 cm on an 8x8 square). Draw one vertical line and one horizontal line connecting these midpoints. This divides your large square into four identical 4x4 squares. Now, you must find the center of each of these four smaller squares. Do this by lightly drawing the diagonals for each one. Set your compass to a radius (e.g., 1.5 cm, which is less than half of 4 cm). Place the compass tip on the center of the top-left square and draw a circle. Without changing the radius, repeat this for the other three squares.
