Question 10 Find the smallest number that is a multiple of all the numbers from 1 to 10.This is the same as question 9, but now we must also include 7. Use our previous answer We already know that 360 is the smallest number that can be divided by all the other numbers (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10). Include the factor of 7 Now, we just need to make sure our number is also a multiple of 7. Is 360 divisible by 7? No, it is not. Combine them Since 7 is a prime number and it's not a factor already present in 360, the only way to make our number a multiple of 7 is to multiply it by 7. Thus, 360 × 7 = 2520 This new number, 2520, is now guaranteed to be a multiple of 7, and since it's just a multiple of 360, it is still a multiple of all the other numbers as well. So, the answer is 2520.
