Question 2 Find out the digit sums of all the numbers from 40 to 70. Share your observations with the class. When calculating the digit sums for numbers from 40 to 70, several observations can be made: The digit sums increase by 1 as you count up within a "decade.” For example: 40 → 4+0 = 4 41 → 4+1 = 5 42 → 4+2 = 6 ...and so on up to 49 (4 + 9 = 13). The pattern resets when the tens digit changes. After the digit sum for 49 is 13, the digit sum for 50 is 5 (5 + 0) This creates a cyclical pattern of steadily increasing sums followed by a sudden drop.
