To get a child to say '2’, they must be standing in the middle with a taller child on both sides With five children, we can create at most two such cases An example arrangement to achieve this (using heights 5=tallest to 1=shortest) is 4-1-5-2-3 The child with height 1 is between 4 and 5, so they say '2'.
