If they are rational, and of the form , š‘/š‘ž what can you say about the prime factors of q? 43.123456789 43.123456789 is terminating So, it would be a rational number 43.123456789 = 43123456789/1000000000 = 43123456789/(10)9 = 43123456789/(2 Ɨ5)9 = 43123456789/(29 Ɨ59) Hence 43.123456789 is now in the form of š‘/š‘ž And the prime factors of q are in terms of 2 and 5 Ex 1.4 , 3 (Method 2) The following real numbers have decimal expansions as given below.
