Like equivalent fractions (link) equivalent ratios are made by multiplying & dividing the ratio by the same number

Equivalent ratio of 2 : 1

2 : 1 = 2/1

So, equivalent ratios are

2/1 × 2/2  = 4/2 = 4 : 2

2/1 × 3/3  = 6/3 = 6 : 3

2/1 × 4/4  = 8/4 = 8 : 4

Equivalent ratios

Like equivalent fractions, equivalent ratios are made by multiplying & dividing the ratio by the same number

Let’s take an example

Equivalent ratio of 2 : 1

2 : 1 = 2/1

So, equivalent ratios are

2/1 × 2/2 = 4/2  = 4 : 2

2/1 × 3/3 = 6/3 = 6 : 3

2/1 × 4/4  = 8/4  = 8 : 4

So,

  2 : 1 = 4 : 2 = 6 : 3 = 8 : 4
