Congruency of line segments

Suppose we have two line segments

AB & PQ

We know that AB & PQ are congruent if

  • They have same shape
  • They have same size

Now,

  All line segments are of the same shape.

 

So, line segments with same size are congruent.

 

Therefore,

  Two line segments are congruent if they have the same length
