Ex 9.1, 4 Following pictograph shows the number of tractors in five villages. Observe the pictograph and answer the following questions. Writing it in table (i) Which village has the minimum number of tractors? Minimum number of tractor are in Village D (3) (ii) Which village has the maximum number of tractors? Minimum number of tractor are in Village C (8) (iii) How many more tractors village C has as compared to village B Number of tractors in village C = 8 Number of tractors in village B = 5 ∴ Difference in tractor = 8 − 5 = 3 (iv) What is the total number of tractors in all the five villages? Total number of tractors = 6 + 5 + 8 + 3 + 6 = 28
