Ex 2.1, 6 Multiply and express as a mixed fraction : (a) 3 x 5 1/5 3 × 5 1/5 = 3 × (5+1/5) = 3 × ((5 × 5 + 1)/5) = 3 × ((25 + 1)/5) = 3 × 26/5 = (3 × 26)/5 = 78/5 Converting to mixed fraction = 15 𝟑/𝟓
