What was the temperature on this day? Temperature on Monday = −5°C Given that, Temperature dropped by 2°C on Tuesday ∴ Temperature on Tuesday = Temperature on Monday −2°C = −5 −2°C = − (5 + 2) °C = −7°C Also, Temperature rose on by 4° C on Wednesday Temperature on Wednesday = Temperature on Tuesday + 4°C = −7 + 4°C = − (7 − 4)°C = −3°C Thus, Temperature on Tuesday = −7°C Temperature on Wednesday = −3°C
