From the graph, velocity rises from 10 m s −1 to 30 m s −1 in 8 s (a straight line), so the acceleration is

a = 30 - 10 8 = 20 8 = 2.5 m s -2 .

Force F = ma = 10 × 2.5 = 25 N , in the direction of motion.

Slope = acceleration
a = 30-10 8 = 2.5 m s -2
Apply F = ma
F = 10 kg × 2.5 m s -2
