What is Investigative World of Science? Investigative World of Science Asking questions and checking carefully A field/ Area Study of nature and things around us Science is a field where we find out about nature by asking questions, observing carefully, and checking things properly. Let’s take example of a Puri to understand this Freshly made Fluffed Puri Why is it all so fluffed? After sometime It becomes like this After some time, Puri get flattened Why does it happen? Also, why is one side of the puri is thin, the other side is thick? One side is thin Other side is thick This is exactly what we will investigate in this chapter Investigate = Tehkikat (Just like ACP sir does in CID!) So today, let’s all become Scientists and investigate things rather than cramming them (No Rattafication only Investigation)Student who just remembers concepts (Ratta Maar Student) Student who Investigate and Find Out why? How to investigate?Let’s check every clue one by one We change one thing at a time and observe: Make the dough thicker or thinner Oil hotter or cooler Prick a hole in the puri Golden Rule: Change only ONE thing at a time! Otherwise you'll never know which change made the difference. What did we find?We find that freshly made puri is fluffed but later loses air. Puri fluffed up because it has steam as water in dough turns into steam After some time, Puri get flattened as the steam cools down and shrinks back into water droplets, causing the puri to lose air and deflate Why one side of puri is thin and the other side is thick?Thick Dough Thin Dough One side is thin Other side is thick Uneven rolling makes one part of the dough thinner, which quickly puffs up with steam when fried while the thicker side stays heavy. Let’s summarize chapterOne tiny puri gave us so many questions! That's what "The Investigative World of Science" really means — not memorizing (ratta), but doing your own investigation(tehkikat) to find the answers. And it's not just puris — this same curiosity helps us understand the phases of the Moon, tiny germs, and even the secrets of the whole planet! Difference between This chapter vs Next Chapters Current Chapter This chapter only has basic overview There are no NCERT Questions Less Important Future Chapters These chapters have Science concepts in detail There are many NCERT Questions More Important
