Horizontal Line (x-axis): It shows Months Vertical Line (y-axis): Average Rainfall (in mm) from 0 to 900 mm, in increments of 100 We use different legends for each Step 2: Infer and interpret from what is given We observe that Diverging Patterns: Unlike the West Coast, these East Coast cities do not peak at the same time. Puri's rainfall peaks in the summer (July–August), similar to the West Coast but much gentler (peaking under 400 mm). Chennai and Rameswaram, however, stay relatively dry during the summer. Their rainfall lines spike late in the year, both peaking in November (Rameswaram near 400 mm, Chennai near 250 mm). Conclusion: The East Coast does not share a single, unified rainy season. Northern East Coast cities (like Puri) get summer monsoons, while southern East Coast cities (like Chennai and Rameswaram) receive their heaviest rainfall during the winter months. Furthermore, the maximum rainfall peaks on the East Coast (max ~400 mm) are significantly lower than the extreme peaks seen on the West Coast (max ~900 mm).
