Question 1 - Page 184 Using a similar method, can you solve the second equation using the numbers 3, – 6, 2 and 4?Basically, our question is 3x – 6 = 2x + 4 Comparing equation with Ax + B = Cx + D Thus, A = 3 B = –6 C = 2 D = 4 And, our solution is x = (𝐷 − 𝐵)/(𝐴 − 𝐶) x = (𝟒 −(−𝟔))/(𝟑 − 𝟐) x = (4 + 6)/1 x = 10/1 x = 10 Thus, value of x is 10.
