The "Magic Formula" for Linear EquationsIn the previous question we had to solve 300 + 6x = 10x – 100 Generally we can write this as Ax + B = Cx + D We can write the solution of this directly as x = (𝑫 βˆ’ 𝑩)/(𝑨 βˆ’ π‘ͺ) Let’s do an example Solve 650m + 4000 = 500m + 5050 We can use our formula for this Comparing equation with Ax + B = Cx + D Thus, A = 650 B = 4000 C = 500 D = 5050 And, our solution is x = (𝐷 βˆ’ 𝐡)/(𝐴 βˆ’ 𝐢) x = (πŸ“πŸŽπŸ“πŸŽ βˆ’ πŸ’πŸŽπŸŽπŸŽ)/(πŸ”πŸ“πŸŽ βˆ’ πŸ“πŸŽπŸŽ) x = 1050/150 x = 105/15 x = 7
