So, we can write 𝑵𝒖𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓/𝟒 + 9 = Number Putting values 𝒙/𝟒 + 9 = x Putting 𝑥/4 right side, so it becomes negative We take x/4 right side because if we take x left side it will be (x/4 – x) – so it will be negative 9 = x – 𝑥/4 9 = x (1 – 1/4) 9 = x ((4 − 1)/4) 9 = x × 3/4 x × 𝟑/𝟒 = 9 Putting 1/2 on right side, so it becomes reciprocal x = 9 × 4/3 x = 3 × 4 x = 12 Thus, number is 12
