Why are they congruent?Here, ABCD is a rectangle So, we can apply Properties of Rectangle here Opposite sides are equal AD = BC & AB = CD All angles are 90° ∠ A = ∠ B = ∠ C = ∠ D = 90° Now, we can observe that ∆ ABD & ∆ CDB could be congruent, Because their two sides is same, and one side is common Now, let’s check naming Points A ⟷ C match, because ∠ A = ∠ C = 90° Since CB = AD, Points B ⟷ D (Note: Point B in ∆ ABD and Point D in ∆ CBD) Remaining point matches D ⟷ B So, we can write By SSS Congruence rule ∆ ABD ≅ ∆ CDB We can also separate triangles and superimpose
