Question 4 How would we check if two figures like the one below are congruent? Use this to identify whether each of the following pairs are congruent.For figure We need Length of sides AC & BD ∠ ACD (or ∠ ACB) – since if we know one angle, we can find the other using Linear pair Now, let’s look at our pairs to check if they are Congruent Pair 1 These look Congruent. They appear to have the same stem length, branch length, and angles. Pair 2 These look Not Congruent. Look closely at the angles. The "Y" on the right seems to have a wider opening (angle) between the branches than the one on the left. Also, the stem on the right might be slightly shorter.
