Justify your answer.Pattern 1 was 2 × (a2 + b2) = (a + b)2 + (a – b)2 And, Pattern 2 was a2 – b2 = (a + b) × (a – b) They hold for all real numbers – positive, negative, fractions or decimals Explanation: You can test them with negative integers (like -5) or fractions (like 1/2). The algebraic rules work universally for any number you can think of!
