Question 14 (Page 140) Komal tells you that she has a fever of 101 degrees. Does she mean it on the Celsius scale or Fahrenheit scale? She means it on the Fahrenheit (°F) scale. Explanation :- She is using a Clinical Thermometer whose range is 35 °C – 42 °C or 95 °F – 108 °F So, 101 °F lies in range of Fahrenheit and not Celsius. If it was 101°C, that would be extremely high and impossible for a human body, as 101°C is above boiling point of water.
