Explanation :- A clinical thermometer can measure temperatures only from 35°C to 42°C, which is the range of human body temperature. Ice - cold water is usually around 0°C, which is below the lower limit of a clinical thermometer. Therefore, we cannot use a clinical thermometer to measure the temperature of ice-cold water.
